Candidates who passed Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test in 2015 eligible for TGT recruitment

CHANDIGARH: The candidates who passed Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test (HTET) in 2015 will also get a chance in the TGT recruitment released by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), read a notification issued by the commission.
An official of the HSSC said the persons, who were eligible and possessed valid HTET/STET certificates on the last date (October 26, 2022) of application for advertisement number 02/2022, could also apply for the TGT recruitment against fresh advertisement (02/2023 in various categories) subject to the condition that these candidates possess a valid HTET/STET certificate and fulfill the age criteria mentioned in the advertisement.
He said the posts were advertised on September 27, 2022 for recruitment in the education department. However, no recruitment was done on the TGT posts from 2015 to 2022 and the commission withdrew the advertisement without accepting any application.
Therefore, the candidates who passed the HTET in the year 2015 became ineligible without even applying or appearing in the recruitment examination.
Moreover, there was Covid pandemic for two years during this period. Under these circumstances, the commission has resolved to give relaxation to such candidates, said the official.
