BJP worker consumes suspected poisonous substance near Anil Vij’s residence in Ambala

A BJP worker, Gurjatan alias Billu, consumed a suspected poisonous substance near the residence of Haryana home minister, Anil Vij, in Ambala Cantonment. Billu was rushed to the civil hospital for treatment. Police will investigate the incident, and Billu's statement will be recorded.

AMBALA:
A worker of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) consumed a suspected poisonous substance near the residence of Haryana home minister Anil Vij at Shastri Colony in Ambala Cantonment on Wednesday. The reason behind the incident is yet unknown and police would investigate the same.
He was identified as Gurjatan alias Billu of Tundla village in Ambala district, who was immediately rushed to the civil hospital at Ambala Cantonment, by the police.

Parao police station house officer (SHO) inspector Dalip Kumar said, “Billu is out of danger and he has been shifted to a ward at the civil hospital Ambala Cantonment, where he is undergoing treatment. As of now, we do not know the reason behind the incident and his statement would be recorded on Thursday.”
