Around 10 days after two children took off for Ladakh on their cycles, a 15-year-old boy cycled around 52km from his Panchkula residence to the house of his maternal grandmother in Nalagarh on Thursday night.

PANCHKULA: Around 10 days after two children took off for Ladakh on their cycles, a 15-year-old boy cycled around 52km from his Panchkula residence to the house of his maternal grandmother in Nalagarh on Thursday night. After looking for him everywhere, his worried parents got a case of abduction filed at the Sector 10 police post.
After he showed up at his grandmother's house, a police team was dispatched to bring him back.

Police also retrieved his cycle.
Police said the boy is not academically bright and did not do well in his exams held two days ago. On the evening of March 9, he left the house saying he was going for tuition.
The boy's father, a mason, also accompanied the police party dispatched to bring him back. Police also said one of the family members had given the boy a dressing down over his poor performance.
Meanwhile, picture and details of the boy started trending on social networking sites and the Sector 10 police post was flooded with inquiries about him.
