835 new Covid cases in Haryana, 236 in Punjab

CHANDIGARH: Haryana on Friday reported 835 new Covid-19 cases and one death, while 236 persons got infected in neighbouring Punjab. A total 436 persons recovered from the infection in Haryana in the last 24 hours while the number of active cases in the state has reached 3,210.
The cumulative Covid count in the state has gone up to 10,63,399 cases, with 10,49,446 recoveries and 10,720 deaths.The overall positivity rate of the state was reported at 8.37%, while the recovery rate has dipped further to 98.69%. The fatality rate remained stable at 1.01%. In Punjab, the highest of 50 cases came to light in Mohali followed by 30 in Ludhiana, 23 in Patiala, 17 in Hoshiarpur, 16 in Amritsar, 12 in Pathankot, 10 each in Muktsar and Ropar, nine in Barnala, among others.
