2 youth arrested in Hansi, 6 pistols and 31 cartridges seized

Hisar: Amid the heightened tension in the state, the Hansi police on Friday claimed to have arrested two young men and recovered six pistols and 31 cartridges from their possession.
The arrested accused have been identified as Pramod alias Rajat and Navdeep alias Ankur alias Fana, both residents of Jamawari village of the Hansi area of Hisar district.The two were produced in a court on Friday and taken on remand for four days. During remand, the accused will be interrogated to find out from where they had brought these illegal weapons, said the police.
Superintendent of police, Hansi, Maqsood Ahmed said a special staff team had received a tip-off about two young men standing under the Sheikhpura road bypass bridge with pistols in their hands. After reaching the spot, the team overpowered the youth and on searching them they recovered five pistols and 25 cartridges from the possession of Pramod and one pistol and six cartridges from Navdeep, said the SP.
