14 students selected for NTSE finals

In the prestigious National Talent Search Examinations, which are being conducted by the NCERT, 14 students from the city have been selected to take part in the finals which would be held on May 8.

CHANDIGARH: In the prestigious National Talent Search Examinations, which are being conducted by the NCERT, 14 students from the city have been selected to take part in the finals which would be held on May 8.
Arjit Shukla, Shivam Dhiri, Raghav Gupta, Shristi Jain, Arooshi Bajaj, Arshdeep Singh Goindi, Vanaja Jain, Arushi Aggarwal, Monash Taneja, Nimish Goel , Shradha Pruthi ,Yuvraj Chopra, Gurpreet Singh and Harsimran Kaur managed to secure a position in the finals.

They would compete against nearly 2,000 students across the country.
Shrishti Ashtana from Mohali has achieved the first position in Punjab. NTSE exams were started by NCERT in 1961 with a view of bringing qualitative improvement in the education. Students take two exams for 90 marks during the preliminary round.
