Vedanta Aluminium organizes blood donation drive in Odisha

Vedanta Aluminium organized a blood donation drive in the tribal areas of Sijimali, Rayagada, and Kalahandi districts in Odisha.
The event, which drew participation from employees, their families, business partners, and the local community, was inaugurated by Dhuruv Charan Munduli, block development officer of Thuamul Rampur. Representatives from ECoR (Indian Railways), Bhubaneswar, and Odisha Fire Services were also present.
Over 30 units of blood were donated to the blood bank in Bhawanipatna, the district headquarters of Kalahandi.
Munduli emphasized the importance of such initiatives, saying, “Blood donation is a cause that saves lives. It is essential to organize such drives to ensure that blood banks are adequately stocked for emergencies.”
The blood donation drive is part of Vedanta Aluminium’s efforts to address healthcare needs in Odisha's remote areas, where maintaining sufficient blood supplies can be challenging.
