Bhopal: A street dog mauled four children in a Satna village on Thursday morning and later died, creating panic among the locals.
The children were immediately rushed to a nearby govt hospital where they were administered anti-rabies vaccines.
Two of the kids were then taken to the district hospital in Satna where their treatment is ongoing. The incident took place in Shyamnagar village of the district at around 7 am.
The kids who were injured by the dog include Satyam Kol, 6, Jitendra Kushwaha, 10, Rounak Chowdhary, 8, and Siddhu Kol, 2.
A representative of village sarpanch, Radha Bai said, "The dog was tied up by villagers but it also died, creating fear among the villagers. The injured are undergoing treatment at the hospital."
