BHOPAL: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Thursday broke its silence over BJP national president Amit Shah's son Jay Shah allegedly named in a nepotism row saying those alleging a scam must prove it first.
"If there are allegations of corruption against anyone, they should be investigated. But there has to be prima facie evidence of wrong-doing. Those who were levelling allegations against Jay Shah should submit evidence to prove themselves true," said RSS Sah Sanghchalak (joint general secretary) Dattatreya Hosabale.

He was talking to reporters on the sidelines of Sangh's three-day national executive.
Responding to queries over the alleges spike in the turnover of the company owned by Jay Shah, the RSS leader chose to back BJP chief's son and even gave a clean chit reiterating that loans obtained by his companies were transparent and repaid full with interest.
The Sangh Parivar statement defending Shah came a day after AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi attacked Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over allegations levelled against Jay Shah. The RSS leader, however, distanced himself from senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha, who criticised the government for defending Jay Shah. Sinha had earlier created a furore after attacking the Centre over economy.
"They are in the BJP and they should discuss the issues within the party. We will not discuss it as it is not our obligation," replied Hosabale when a reporter asked about questions being raised over infighting in BJP.
Earlier, the BJP had come out in defence of Jay Shah with chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and state BJP head Nandkumar Singh Chauhan backing Amit Shah's son and denying allotment of any land for windmill in Ratlam.
The BJP also warned to file a defamation case against Congress state incharge Deepak Babaria on Wednesday who charged Shah with nepotism and alleged corrupt practice.
