He would shout and pick fights with others in the jail. In Satna jail, he did not mend his ways and would often scream he wanted to go to Bhopal. On December 13, when he turned sick, he was sent to district hospital on recommendations of jail doctors. The doctors at district hospital referred him to the medical college and hospital in Rewa from there he escaped,” Satna Central Jail superintendent Shefali Tiwari told TOI.
She said, “The accused went for attending nature’s call and constables opened his handcuffs. He entered the washroom on first floor and escaped. The constables, who took him to Rewa, told he slipped out through a window and climbed down using pipes connected to bathroom.”
“The two constables, who accompanied him, were suspended and an FIR was lodged. We are trying to trace the convict,” she said.
