Rafale row: Shivraj demands apology from Congress
Shivraj Singh Chouhan
BHOPAL: Former chief minister and senior BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday attacked Congress on Rafale deal demanding an unconditional apology from Congress president Rahul Gandhi. Chouhan said that Rahul should clarify where from he was tipped off about the Rafale deal and got evidences against the BJP government.
Elated over the Supreme Court decision on the fighter jet purchase, Chouhan said that Congress made mountain out of molehill and misinformed the public too.

“Kickbacks and role of middlemen were common in defence purchases during Congress’ regime. The country wants to know from Congress why there were middlemen involved during Congress rule,” he said.
He said that the way Congress stooped low using derogatory words for PM Modi on Rafale deal, the party must apologise for the same.
Supreme Court verdict has clearly exposed that those who shout for ‘Chowkidar’ were themselves the ‘thief’. A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi ruled on Friday that there was no wrong doing in the purchase of the French aircraft as alleged by the petitioners, while dismissing a clutch of petitions.
