IPS officer’s daughter dies by suicide at Bhopal home
BHOPAL: Daughter of senior IPS officer died by suicide at the family’s government residence in Bhopal’s high-profile Char Imli area on Monday night.
The deceased was a Class 12 student. She was found haging inside her room in the house.
No suicide note was recovered so the reason behind her extreme step was not ascertained yet.
Habibganj SHO Sanjeev Chouksey said that the girl was a student of class 12.
SHO Chouksey said around 3pm, when the IPS officer returned home, a domestic help informed him that the girl was in her room.
When she did not respond to repeated knocks, the officer managed to open the door and found her body. Police sent the body for post-mortem.
Investigators are examining the teenager’s mobile phone and digital activity to ascertain the circumstances that may have led to the incident.
