BHOPAL: A Bhopal-based doctor has been booked for culpable homicide after a patient, whom he allegedly administered an injection died due to drug reaction on November 28.
On the basis of autopsy report and statements of family members of the patient, a case was registered at Talaiya police station on Saturday.
Police said Mohammad Zahid, 30, a resident of Mangalwara, had fever on November 20 and he visited Afzal Clinic at Fatehgarh area, where Dr Mohammad Anwar administered him an injection.
Zahid's condition deteriorated after he took the injection. He was later admitted to a private hospital where he died. Zahid's family alleged negligence by doctor that caused his death.
Autopsy report on Zahid also confirmed that he died due to reaction from injection. After autopsy report police have booked the doctor. The accused is yet to be arrested.
