24-year-old raped and blackmailed by her college senior

BHOPAL: A 24-year-old woman was allegedly repeatedly raped and blackmailed by her college senior in Ayodhya Nagar.
Police said that the survivor, a native of Betul, stated in her complaint that in 2019 she met the accused Shekhar Soni, who was her college senior.
Later, when she shifted to Bhopal, the accused took her to a park in Ayodhya Nagar, where he allegedly raped her while threatening to inform her parents about their friendship.Police said that the accused pressured her to disrobe during a video call and took screenshots. Since then he repeatedly raped her. In March, when the survivor’s marriage got fixed, he pressured her to establish a sexual relationship with him, threatening to circulate her obscene videos over social media platforms.
The accused then sent the survivor’s obscene video to her father on Sunday and demanded money, after which the survivor approached Ayodhya Nagar police station on Monday to lodge a complaint.
