BHOPAL: A 21-year-old youth was electrocuted while switching on the water motor at his home in Parwalia locality on Monday.

Vinod Gurjar said that the deceased Amit lived with his parents, sister and grandmother in a village in Parwalia locality. He used to work as a driver.
ASI Gurjar said that on Monday around 8.30 am when Amit had gone to turn on the switch of the water motor fitted behind his home he got electrocuted from open live wire.
He mistakenly touched the wire after which he sustained electric shock and collapsed on the ground. “After a few minutes of the incident, when his father observed that Amit was missing, he went to check behind the home and was shocked to find him lying unconscious," said ASI Gurjar adding that the family members rushed him to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead. A case was registered at Parwalia police station and further investigations are underway. TNN
