BANGALORE: VS D'Souza, 57, joined the police force as a sub-inspector and earned laurels in investigating several crucial criminal and subversive activities. The feather in his cap was the busting of an organized kidney sale racket when he was an inspector with Commercial Street police station in 1995.
His next big case was in 2000 when he was entrusted with investigating the localized subversive element Deendar Anjuman, which triggered several attacks on churches in South India.
