Rain brings down temperature

On Tuesday, the city witnessed light rainfall. Some parts of the state received heavy rainfall.
According to the meteorological department, the city received 0.1 mm rainfall on Tuesday. Dharamshala recorded 6 cm rainfall, and Bidar 4 cm."Rainfall of less than 3 cm was reported in many places," department director A Muthuchami said.
The rainfall, which is normal during this time of year, is due to upper air cyclonic circulation over the South-East Arabian Sea off Karnataka coast. "South-Westerly winds prevail over this region. We can expect thunderstorms and cloudy conditions in the evening and night from Wednesday. This might continue for two or three days," he said.
