Bengaluru: Friends’ fight ends in murder

BENGALURU: A fight between two friends ended in the murder of one at Laggere in Nandini Layout on Wednesday.
The victim, Vishwanath alias Vishwa, 39, was an accused in two criminal cases, including one for a murder at Basaveshwaranagar in 2008. He worked as an assistant in a private office in Vidyaranyapura.
At 9am,Vishwanath went to his friend Ravi Kumar’s house but he wasn’t there.His wife was alone at home since their children had gone to school.
Ravi Kumar returned home around 9.45am and a heated argument broke out with Vishwanath over a personal dispute. Kumar stabbed Vishwanath on the neck with a kitchen knife when Vishwanath tried to run away. Vishwanath died instantly and Kumar panicked and fled the scene.
Neighbours alerted the police control room on seeing Vishwanath’s body on the road.
