BANGALORE: The city enjoyed a cool and windy night on Friday and a cloudy day on Saturday with hardly any rain. The pleasant weather came as a pleasant weekend surprise.
The meteorological department said the weather will remain so for a couple of days. It is a trait of an active monsoon and is dominated by light drizzles and low temperature.
Wind speed was around 40 km/hr and minimum temperature came down to 18 degree Celsius, the maximum being around 28.
Showers can be expected in a week's time. "The weather will be like this for a few more days. Drizzles, cloudy skies and strong winds are a feature of active monsoons. When the monsoon is active in coastal Karnataka, we get light rain here. Towards the end of this phase, we will get rain again," said department director A Muthuchami.
