Election to standing committees today

BANGALORE: The much-delayed elections to the remaining 11 standing committees will take place on Saturday. According to sources, all committee members will first be elected. It could take at least another 2-3 days to elect the respective chairpersons. On the tentative list of chairpersons stand H Ravindra (Vijayanagar), N Nagaraju (Byrasandra), D Venkateshmurthy (Katriguppe), B S Manjunath Reddy (Bommanahalli), Lakshmikantha Reddy (Laggere) and L Srinivas (Padmanabha Nagar).
