Youth killed as car plunges into canal

SHAHJAHANPUR: A 24-year-old man, who was on his way to pick up a relative who was in labor pain, was killed when his car plunged into a canal in Gola on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Pranjal Verma alias Lalu, a resident of Govindapur village in Lakhimpur Kheri district.
Police said that the victim lost control of his car while trying to negotiate a curve and the vehicle fell into a canal in Gola.Swimmers fished out his body after a search operation for four hours. His body was handed over to relatives after postmortem.
