Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Preparations are on in full swing for the annual Khuldabad Urs, which is scheduled to begin from September 21.
Aurangabad district collector Astik Kumar Pandey and superintendent of police Manish Kalwaniya visited Khuldabad, around 25km from the city, on September 7 to review different arrangements. “Senior government officials reviewed the facilities of electricity, drinking water, vehicle parking and health needs during the visit.
The review meeting also focussed on adequate security apparatus including CCTVs and deployment of police personnel,” said an official release. The authorities also interacted with trustees of Durgah Hajrat Jar Jari Baksh to realize their needs towards official support.
The annual Khuldabad Urs attracts scores of devotees every year from different parts. The urs involves Sandal procession among other activities amid traditional zeal and enthusiasm.
