Mild quake recorded in rural Nanded
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: An earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale was recorded in parts of Mukhed taluka of Nanded district at 3.20pm on Wednesday, with no loss of life or property reported, disaster management department authorities said. The epicentre was in Khapral village, 10km below the ground, the authorities added."Residents of Hibbat, Kolgaon, Dhamangaon, Motorga, Dhanaj, Khapral, and Jamkhed in Mukhed taluka reported tremors and sound from the ground during the afternoon. The National Seismology Centre confirmed the seismic activity of minor intensity in these villages," Kishor Kurhe Patil, the district disaster management officer for Nanded, said.

The Nanded district administration has appealed to locals to remain alert and not panic. In a public appeal, the Nanded administration requested people not to believe any rumours and to contact authorities on 02462-235077 for any information.
