Met department predicts rain for parts of Andhra Pradesh from May 30 to June 3

Rayalaseema and different regions of Andhra Pradesh are likely to experience rainfall, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall in certain parts. The wind speeds could reach up to 40 kilometers per hour.

AMARAVATI: The India Meteorological Department issued a forecast on Thursday, predicting thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds in various regions of Andhra Pradesh for a five-day period starting from May 30. The affected areas include parts of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh (NCAP), Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh (SCAP), and Rayalaseema, which are likely to experience rainfall and gusty winds.
According to a release from the Meteorological department, wind speeds could reach up to 40 kilometers per hour (kmph) during this period.

In addition to the thunderstorms, the department also forecasted heavy rainfall in certain parts of Rayalaseema on June 2.
Simultaneously, a Met department official reported that the Southwest Monsoon has arrived over Kerala and has progressed into most regions of Northeast India on Thursday.
