Anil Kumar Singhal begins second term as Tirupati temple trust executive officer; hints at reforms based on devotees feedback

TIRUPATI: Senior bureaucrat Anil Kumar Singhal assumed charge as the new executive officer of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams on Wednesday.The 1993 batch IAS officer, who was appointed as the new TTD EO by the AP govt on Monday, completed his sacred trek to Tirumala from Alipiri before being formally administered the oath of office near the Garudalway Sannidhi inside the Tirumala temple on Wednesday.Speaking to reporters after assuming the top most administrative position in the TTD, Anil Singhal asserted that though reforms are brought in the Tirupati trust by successive administrations from time to time, there is always scope to improve and continue to bring in reforms based on the devotees feedback.

“Today, when I interacted with the devotees while trekking up to Tirumala from Alipiri, many devotees appreciated the TTD’s efforts in bringing notable improvements to the overall quality and taste of the most sacred Laddu Prasadam as well as other Anna Prasadams. The devotees also gave suggestions on various aspects where there is scope for improvement and the TTD trust board and the officials will collectively strive to accommodate the suggestions of the devotees”, Anil Singhal added.Extending thanks to Chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for reposing faith in him and for appointing him for a second term as TTD EO, Anil Singhal stated that the Chief minister himself had made some key recommendations to the TTD aimed at preserving the sanctity of the sacred Tirumala temple and the age-old customs followed here, TTD EO asserted that these recommendations will be implemented in the due course of time very soon.
