ALLAHABAD: In view of the heavy rush of pilgrims during the ongoing Mahakumbh Mela, railway administration has decided to stop sale of platform tickets to passengers on the main bathing days at the Allahabad station and Naini junction.
In this connection, sale of platform tickets would be stopped at the Allahabad and Naini junctions on January 27 and 28 on the occasion of Paush Purnima.
Similarly, sale of platforms tickets would be stopped from February 10 to 12 on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya.
On Basant Panchami, a prominent 'snaan' day, sale of platform tickets would be stopped at Allahabad station and Naini junction on February 15 and 16. Similarly, sale of platform tickets would be stopped on February 25 and 26 on the occasion of Maghi Purnima.
Mahashivratri will be the last of the important bathing days, thus, sale of platform tickets would be stopped on March 10 and 11.
