MNNIT student found dead

A student of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Mohammad Kamran (35), was found dead inside the toilet in PG Hostel on Monday morning.

ALLAHABAD: A student of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Mohammad Kamran (35), was found dead inside the toilet in PG Hostel on Monday morning.
Chief warden Vinod Yadav said that Kamran was pursuing his final semester of MTech in mechanical engineering. He was a faculty member of the College of Engineering, Rohilkhand University, Bareilly and joined the institute as as a part-time student.

Kamran used to come to the institute frequently to consult with the teachers and other student.
Kamran arrived from Bareilly on Monday morning and went to the room of his friend in the PG Hostel. He went to the toilet after changing his clothes. However, when he did not come out of the toilet for a long time, his friends pushed the door which was not locked from inside. They found Kamran lying in an unconscious state. The inmates took him to a private hospital situated in the vicinity, where the doctors referred him to the Swaroop Rani Nehru (SRN) hospital. On reaching the SRN Hospital, the doctors declared him dead. The authorities of the institute informed the Shivkuti police. The body was sent for post-mortem examination.
The body was handed over to the sister and brother-in-law of Kamran, who are working as medical officers in Central Police Organisation.
The post-mortem report is awaited.
