CMP and ADC college get new students' union

Allahabad: After witnessing marginal voting (around 35-40%) in the morning, all the three constituent colleges of Allahabad University announced the results of the student elections held at their respective units, on Saturday evening.
As per the results announced by the authorities of CMP Degree College, Rishabh Singh Yadav was declared the winner for the post of president.He defeated his nearest rival Ashish Singh by a margin of 182 votes. A total of 646 votes were cast in favour of Yadav.
On the post of vice-president of the college, Sumit Kumar Gautam was declared the winner and he defeated his nearest rival Abhishek Yadav by a margin of 429 votes. On the post of general secretary, Shivam was declared winner as he defeated Saumya Shukla by a margin of 76 votes. For the post of joint secretary, Abhai Raj Yadav won the post by defeating Raj Kumar Sahu by a margin of 463 votes. On the post of cultural secretary, Vishal Chandralekha won by defeating Anand Kushwaha by a margin of 794 votes.
At Allahabad Degree College (ADC), Vivek Kumar Tiwari won the post of president by defeating his nearest rival Prakash Pandey by a margin of 512 votes. Vivek had got a total of 881 votes.
On the post of vice-president of the college, Ashutosh Gupta was declared the winner and he defeated his nearest rival Vinay Kumar Mishra by a margin of 88 votes. On the post of general secretary, Pankaj Dubey was declared winner as he defeated Akash Mishra by a margin of 187 votes. For the post of joint secretary, Shivam Sharma won the post by defeating Ashu Kumar Kesari by a margin of 212 votes. On the post of cultural secretary, Joyti Rawat won by defeating Varunendra Pandey by a margin of 386 votes.
Results for Iswar Saran Degree College was not declared till the reports were last filed in as the counting was in progress. All the wining candidates in both the colleges i.e. CMP and ADC were administered the oath of office on Saturday evening.
