Bronze medal to NTPC Rihand

ALLAHABAD: Rihand Super Thermal Power Project of NTPC has been honoured with Bronze Medal for meritorious performance in electricity generation under Government of India meritorious productivity award scheme. Rihand has bagged this award for the first time in the year 1991 and thereafter continuously since 1993- 94. This is the highest award given by the Ministry of Power, Government of India in the field of power generation .
Manash Sarkar, GM, NTPC, Rihand received this award from union minister for power, Sushil Kumar Shinde in the presence of union minister of state for Power, Bharat Singh Solanki, CMD-NTPC RS Sharma, Dir(Oppn) Chandan Roy, senior officials of NTPC and other power utilities of the country at a glittering ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
