Women hoodwink jeweller

Ahmedabad: A group of women and children hoodwinked a woman to steal a purse containing valuables worth Rs 80,500 in Bhimjipura on Friday.
According to Vadaj police, Daksha Soni, 65, a resident of Sarjan Tower, Memnagar, was at her shop Rajshree Jewellers at Silver Plaza complex on Friday. The shop is run by Soni and her son. As her son was out of the city, she was alone when the incident occurred.
"Six women approached the shop and started demanding money. Soni refused to give any alms when they asked her to give some water. At 1pm she required her phone and looked for her purse. She then realized that it was missing. The purse contained her phone, cash and gold ornaments.
