Rajkot municipal commissioner appointed AUDA CEO
Gandhinagar: The state govt announced several administrative changes on Wednesday.
D P Desai, serving as Rajkot municipal commissioner, was appointed as the CEO of the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA). This appointment releases Bhavya Verma from the additional responsibility as AUDA CEO. Additionally, Tushar Sumera, who was serving as Bharuch collector, will now take charge as Rajkot municipal commissioner, replacing Desai.
According to the notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) on Wednesday, Desai will retain his additional responsibility as CEO of Gandhinagar Urban Development Authority (GUDA).
Other transfers include the appointment of the Industrial Extension Bureau's (iNDEXT-B) managing director, Gaurang Makwana, as Bharuch district collector. Furthermore, Tushar Dholakia, previously director of civil supplies, has been appointed as chairman of the Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board (GSSSB). This appointment relieves Kamal Dayani from the additional charge of this position.
Mayur Mehta, member secretary, Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board (GWSSB), was transferred and appointed as director of civil supplies. He will continue to hold additional charge as MD, Gujarat State Civil Supplies Corporation.
P J Bhagdev, MD, Gujarat Unreserved Educational and Economical Development Corporation, will replace Mehta as member secretary, GWSSB.
Bhagdev will continue to hold additional charge as MD of Gujarat Water Infrastructure Limited, the GAD notification stated.
