AHMEDABAD:
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader from Gujarat Isudan Gadhvi has been booked by Infocity police of
Gandhinagar after a forensic science laboratory (FSL) report confirmed liquor value in his blood report.
The report came 11 days after a clash was reported between the AAP and BJP workers at the ruling party’s office – Kamalam in Koba village of Gandhinagar.
According to an FIR filed with Infocity police, the lab report confirmed 0.0545 per cent weight by volume alcohol presence in Gadhvi’s blood samples taken on December 20, just after his detention from the Kamalam.
Infocity PI PD Vaghela, who became complainant in the case, stated in the FIR that Gadhvi, who was drunk then, had become a part of an unlawful assembly in an inebriated condition.
The violent clash between AAP and BJP workers had taken place when the AAP workers were registering their protest over the recent head clerk recruitment examination paper of Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board (GSSSB) leak.
About 20 AAP workers, including leaders, were detained as the police filed an FIR against Gadhvi, Italia, Shiv Kumar, Pravin Ram, Nikhil Savani, Hasmukh Patel and about 500 others, booking them under 18 sections of the IPC which include criminal trespassing, molestation, unlawful assembly, causing hurt, conspiracy and destroying public property among others.
