Ahmedabad sees 14-day low in daily Covid cases

AHMEDABAD: On Monday, the city recorded 66 new Covid cases, the lowest in 14 days. Gujarat recorded 231 cases which was the lowest in 13 days.
The five major cities accounted for 61% of the cases. It was the second consecutive day that cities recorded 60% or more cases. Ahmedabad was the only district with more than 5% weekly test positivity rate (TPR) at 9.5%.
With 349 patients discharged, the active cases reduced to 2,214. The state however has the third highest active cases in India. Out of the total, 11 patients were on ventilators. Out of 33 districts, only Tapi and Dangs did not have any active cases. Ahmedabad had the highest number of active cases (778).
