275 more test Covid-19 positive in Tripura, caseload inches towards 5,000-mark

AGARTALA: For the first time since a spurt in Covid-19 cases, Tripura has registered more number of recoveries than fresh infections on a single day, a health official said on Saturday.
While the state’s caseload inched towards the 5,000-mark as 275 more people tested positive for the infection, a record 365 people were cured of the disease and discharged from various corona care centres and district corona hospitals on Friday.
The new cases have pushed the virus count in the state to 4,998, out of which 3,327 people have been cured of the disease.
Tripura now has 1,632 active cases, while 21 patients have died and 18 have migrated to other states.
