US first lady Melania Trump on Thursday issued a rare public statement, pushing back against what she called "lies linking me with the disgraceful
Jeffrey Epstein," as the New York post reported.
Meanwhile, her husband, US President Donald Trump, has also been linked to Jeffrey Epstein and his private island, which was frequented by several high-profile figures across industries.
“I am not Epstein’s victim,” the first lady told reporters, firmly rejecting claims circulating online. “Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump.”
She said fake images and fabricated stories had been spreading, falsely suggesting a connection.
“I have never had any knowledge of Epstein’s abuse of his victims, I was never involved in any capacity,” Melania Trump said, adding that she was never on Epstein’s plane and had never visited his private island.
