STORY: The corrupt head of the Monetary Restrictions Authority takes a cut from rich officials and hides that black money at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. A bunch of thieves decides to make this their next target. Will they be able to execute this heist? REVIEW: The sassy leader Tara (Jacqueline Fernandez) and her two friends Bikki (Vikramjeet Virk) and Naina (Sapna Pabbi) are part of a gang of street racers. Also, they have their eyes on a gold consignment stolen by a mysterious criminal King. The latest entry in the group, Samar (Sushant Singh Rajput), soon becomes a part of their plan as the gang aims to break into the Rashtrapati Bhavan and loot the black money and the gold from a corrupt bureaucrat Vibha Singh (Vibha Chibber) and her right-hand man Hamid (Pankaj Tripathi). The plot of this heist movie is similar to many other preceding films. As identities are forged and CCTV cameras are hacked, the movie sputters its way into oblivion. When the script fails to offer anything new in such films, high-octane action sequences usually save the day. Or at least try to. But ‘Drive’ is a dud in this department, too. When all the elements of the Netflix movie 'Drive' are put together, you are left with very little logic in hand. The weak script doesn't give Sushant and Jacqueline a chance to showcase their mettle, even their chemistry falls flat. On top of that, jarring dialogues breaks the momentum of the screenplay even further. It’s Boman Irani and Pankaj Tripathi who share the burden of holding the film together. However, their characters are so poorly written that they too appear lost in the plot, that’s really heading nowhere. ‘Drive’ has only one good thing about it, the peppy song ‘Makhna’ which would serve as a promotional drive but wasn’t really required in the plot. We’ll say skip this drive and stay at home.
