BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh defends his actions: Pulse check without sexual intent
BJP MP and former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief, Brij Bhushan Singh, defended himself in a Delhi court, stating that checking a pulse without sexual intent is not an offense. His advocate, Rajiv Mohan, argued that Singh had only checked the pulse rate and that no complaints of molestation existed before April 21. Mohan highlighted that the oversight committee was formed based on tweets, not official complaints, and that it had exonerated other coaches accused of misconduct. Singh contended that the wrestlers were well aware of sexual harassment laws, implying that molestation allegations were added later to strengthen their case. The court scheduled the matter for October 19.
