Weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga turns sixteen on October 26. He won India’s maiden gold medal at the 2018 Youth Olympics in the 62kg men’s weightlifting category. Lalrinnunga was born in Mizoram on October 26, 2002 to boxer Lalneihtluanga, who was also popular in the early 90s. He was introduced to weightlifting at an early age of seven in his village. Lalrinnunga is also a world youth silver-medallist, the 16-year-old is being touted as the next big thing in Indian weightlifting.
