Watch: Snow leopard sighted on road at Gangotri National Park in Uttarakhand

A snow leopard was caught on camera walking through a road at Gangotri National Park in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The snow leopard walked on the metalled road for quite some distance and then climbed the rocky mountains on the side from where it disappeared from view. Snow leopards are said to be very shy of humans and there are very rare instances of an encounter with the animal in the wild. Even when tourists visit regions inhabited by the snow leopard, only a few are lucky enough to get a glimpse of the animal.
