Thousands of devotees gathered near the Taj Mahal in Agra to offer Eid-ul-Adha prayers and celebrate the festival peacefully. Special namaz was held inside the Taj Mahal premises, where even Nigerian tourists joined in exchanging greetings. Tight security arrangements were made across Uttar Pradesh, including in Sambhal and Varanasi, with police deployed outside mosques and Eidgahs. Religious leaders appealed to people to avoid prayers on roads and perform animal sacrifices only at designated places or inside homes.
