Meerut faces flood-like situation with increase in water level in River Ganga

Due to incessant rainfall, the water level of River Ganga flowing across Meerut, UP increased on July 12. Because of this, excess water from the river entered low-lying nearby areas and parts of Meerut witnessed a flood-like situation. As water entered the residential areas, the normal life of people went out of gear. Meanwhile, the District Magistrate of Meerut informed of the precautionary measures taken to deal with the situation.
