Madhya Pradesh: Congress leader sparks row, says 'Jinnah, Nehru divided country in act of wisdom'

Congress MLA and a former minister in the Kamal Nath's government Sajjan Singh Verma has made a controversial statement. He said that Nehru and Jinnah did the right thing by dividing the country. He termed the division of India as 'an act of wisdom' by Nehru and Jinnah. He also called Jinnah a 'freedom fighter'.
