Jammu and Kashmir held a Press Conference on July 8 over 'Prime Minister's Food Supplementation for Priority Households' in Srinagar. “We are starting a new scheme named 'Prime Minister's Food Supplementation for Priority Households'. At present, in the Priority Households (PHH) category, there are 14.32 lakh ration card holders with about 57.24 lakh beneficiaries. The new scheme will extend the monthly food availability to the PHH category at a subsidized rate, ensuring that it does not exceed 35 kg per household,” said LG Manoj Sinha.
