BJP workers on July 09 staged protests across several parts of West Bengal over Panchayat Poll violence. During the protest, they gathered outside West Bengal State Election Commission Office. The three-tier panchayat elections in 20 districts of WB were marked by widespread violence, looting of ballots papers, and rigging. At least 10 people were killed and several injured in violence reported across the state during the Panchayat poll.
