Bengaluru witnessed a filmy-style daylight robbery as a group impersonating RBI officials stole ₹7 crore from a CMS cash van without raising suspicion. Using a Maruti Zen, an Innova, and a WagonR, the gang blocked the van, convinced the staff they were violating RBI rules, and separated the team before striking the final blow. At Dairy Circle flyover, the men held the driver at gunpoint and quietly transferred the cash into a getaway vehicle. No one realised a heist had even happened until it was too late. Police say the plan involved precision, surveillance, and detailed knowledge of cash movement protocols. With fake government plates and military-style coordination, officers are probing links to organised crime.
