Following a deadly Israeli airstrike in Sanaa that killed Yemen’s Houthi Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi and several senior officials, tensions in the region are flaring. Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi has vowed a strong and escalating military response, including the use of missiles, drones, and sea blockades. Backed by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the Houthis have warned of a “crushing and regret-inducing” retaliation against Israel. The region now braces for possible escalation as both sides ramp up rhetoric and military preparedness. Watch
