After massive controversy over Om Raut's 'Adipurush', the Central Board Of Film Certification is now extra careful with films having religious touch. According to the latest report, CBFC feels that Akshay Kumar-Pankaj Tripathi starrer 'OMG 2' is 'slightly controversial. Going by a report in Bollywood Hungama, OMG 2 is likely to get clearance from the censor board in the next two days after which the makers will begin with their promotional campaign. The reports further stated that a 10-day campaign is needed for OMG 2 from trailer to release. The source said, “If they wanted to make a film on such a controversial subject, not have involved God in it.” Meanwhile, the film’s co-producer Viacom 18’s COO also responded saying, “I don't wish to comment as the censor process is still on. We are all trying our best and hoping things will fall into place.” 'OMG 2' which is a sequel to 'OMG: Oh My God!' starring Paresh Rawal, has Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in lead roles and the film is scheduled to hit the screens on August 11, 2023 clashing with Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's much awaited 'Gadar 2' at the box office.
