Pune's Pashan Lake faces hyacinth menace, negligence charge on PMC

Pashan Lake in Pune is almost fully covered by thick layer of hyacinth, as the lake hasn't been cleaned of late. The thick cover of acquatic weed leads to foul smell and serves as breeding ground for mosquitos. Pashan Lake is a popular tourist attraction and also home to some migratory birds.
