Delhi govt issues notice to hire 1,000 private buses

Amid national capital pollution, Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot on November 18 said a public notice has been issued to hire 1,000 private buses. “A public notice has been issued to hire 1000 private buses. I am pretty confident that these buses will soon be plying on the roads of Delhi. This fleet will be a mix of AC and non-AC buses,” said Delhi Transport Minister. “Electric light commercial vehicles of L5N and N-1 categories (chhota hathi) have been permitted to enter the 'no entry zone' of around 250 roads in Delhi. They can ply on these roads any time,” he added.
