Amid the controversy surrounding the Congress party's vow to ban the right-wing group Bajrang Dal, leaders from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Karnataka recited the Hindu prayer 'Hanuman Chalisa.' The recital was led by Karnataka BJP chief Nalin Kumar Kateel at the party's headquarters in Bengaluru on Wednesday. The BJP leaders' actions are being viewed as a show of solidarity with the Bajrang Dal, which is affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and has been accused of inciting communal violence in the past. The Congress party's pledge to ban the group has sparked controversy and debate across the country.
